I understand that there is an inherent risk of physical injury in the practice and learning of a contact sport such as Tae Kwon-Do. Whilst our Instructors will take all reasonable steps to minimise the risk of an accident, this risk cannot be eliminated. There is a particular risk in the context of competitors and grading exercises, which by their nature are likely to result in an individual approaching and potentially exceeding the limits of their skills and physical abilities. The acceptance of an individual’s application to participate in a competition or undertake a grading exercise does not constitute any confirmation or assurance by the Instructors that an individual has the necessary skill or ability to safely complete such competition or grading exercise. It is the individual’s responsibility to judge such matters for themselves, and if in doubt to withdraw themselves from the activity. The Instructors accept no liability for injuries sustained in the course of practicing and learning Tae Kwon-Do save for injuries attributed to negligence. In accepting this  declaration I accept the disclaimer of liability and agree to abide by the rules of BOP Tae Kwon-Do, should I be accepted as a member.

Please note that your data is only used for membership purposes and is never supplied to any third parties. If you do not wish to remain a member of BOP Tae Kwon-Do your data will be deleted from our files after the appropriate time, which is a period of 36 months after expiration of membership, unless the student is under 16 years of age, then until they reach  the age  of 21 years.

All information is kept on secure servers. BOP Tae Kwon-Do complies with all applicable Data Protections Regulations. This policy is applicable from 20/5/2018.

 

Under GDPR you have the right to view all data we hold on you and request us to correct or amend accordingly. You have a right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office if you think there is a problem in the handling of your data.

 

Personal Accident Insurance is provided for all members by BMABA.
